Our history
Driven by a vision and a passion, in the early 70s Costas Lazaridis set out on a journey that would reshape the destiny of his native land. He had a vision that Drama would become a symbol among the world’s renowned wine regions. What started as a modest 10-hectare plot has grown into the Greece’s largest privately owned vineyards, cultivating both native and international grape varieties, from Sauvignon Blanc and Assytiko to Cabernet Sauvignon and Agiorgitiko.
Costas Lazaridi’s passion for the vine went beyond the vineyard. He built Drama’s first state-of-the-art winery, crafted premium distillates and aged balsamics. Later he established the one-of-a-kind Wine Museum-Costa Lazaridi in Attica, preserving and promoting the heritage and stories of winemaking.
Today, with wineries in Drama and Attica, each bottle reflects his philosophy: “Great wines are born in the vineyards.” Every vine, every parcel, and every harvest continues the legacy of innovation, care, and deep respect for the land, bridging tradition and modernity in every glass.

Our philosophy
Our philosophy is rooted in our family values and deep respect for nature, the terroir, and the soil of our vineyards; these principles guide our decisions till today. From the very beginning, we honor the land that gives us our wines, distillates, and vinegars. It is part of our philosophy of who we are. And we are a family of winemakers.

Our Vision
Costa Lazaridi’s vision to establish Drama as a City of Wine has been fulfilled. Now, a new chapter begins. His sons, Gerasimos and George Lazaridis, are leading the Estates into a new era.
On one hand, we honor tradition. On the other, we embrace experimentation and challenges. We remain committed to our core value “Great wines are born in the vineyard”- a belief that has guided us from the beginning. Every bottle reflects the uniqueness of its vintage and terroir, proving that nature itself is the true creator of great wines. From pioneering expressions of viticulture to artistic collaborations and the discovery of new terroirs, we are constantly expanding what wine can be – and what it can become.
Today, Gerasimos and George Lazaridis carry this mission forward with passion and purpose, honoring the values that have grown.
